"Soup Stop" New Church House Ormskirk - No preaching, just soup and a smile! Tuesday lunchtimesThe second in a series of interviews discussing faith and religion in the community of Ormskirk. The Soup Stop group talk about the motivation behind this outreach initiative and how they see the Parish Church fits into the Christian patchwork quilt in OrmskirkAt this time of year, the weather is cold and often wet. It's Tuesday morning, you need to go out for a bit of shopping, but after a short while walking around the town, you know you're going to feel the cold. Money is a bit tight this week or you could stop in at a cafe to warm up. Solution?Go and get your shopping and on the walk home, stop, come in out of the cold and warm up with Soup Stop at the New Church House, Ormskirk Parish Church.The friendly people at the Parish Church are inviting everyone to come along and enjoy its Soup Stop. Enjoy good company and conversation over a bowl of hot and hearty soup (and bread), every Tuesday between midday and 2pm.Also, it won't cost you a penny, it's comletely free. (But if you want to donate some loose change, they won't say no)New Church House is next to the Parish Church.
