I wrote this song about my grandparents. Since my granny died in 2003, their house has been sitting empty. It's kind of sad. But if you'll be real quiet, you can hear the memories. All of us have enjoyed that front porch swing. My granny used to sew quilts while my cousin Marty & I would play. Us grandkids would run in & out of the house slamming that old screen door. Papa would get ill about it sometimes. Papa & I used to sit on the porch & just watch cars go by, trying to guess what color of car would come by next. There is a big oak tree in the front of the house. Us grandkids used to play stickball under the shade while granny watched us. I know we all miss our grandparents. I miss you Papa & Granny. This song is in loving memory of Frank & Annie Weems. I hope you enjoy it. Contact me at: Signal28@bellsouth.net. if you are a publisher. I wish Alan Jackson would sing this song for me.
